SPRINGVALE - The York County CareerCenter, located at 9 Bodwell Court in Springvale, continues its workshop programs for job seekers and those considering training to upgrade their skills and increase their employability.
"Maine's tight labor market means there are ample opportunities out there to find a new or better job, especially as we head into our summer tourism season," said Governor Paul R. LePage. CareerCenters can assist businesses by offering workshops on location, at local businesses or other organizations at no cost. The following workshops and programs will be held at the CareerCenter in Springvale unless otherwise noted.
**Essentials of College Planning Workshop - Mondays, June 11 and 18, 10 a.m. to 12 noon**
A FREE interactive workshop that outlines the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career planning, and study skills. The workshop lasts approximately two to three hours. Your resume is your marketing tool that helps you land the all-important interview. Join us and learn the dos and don'ts of resume writing and how to stand out in a positive way.
