The Natural Resources Council of Maine is raffling an ELF, powered by solar and pedal power and dubbed “the most efficient vehicle on the planet.” This ELF is nearly-new and valued at more than $3,500, with a retail cost of more than $7,000, if new. The lucky second place winner will receive a free energy audit, valued at $400, from The Breathable Home in Central Maine, or Penobscot Home Performance in Penobscot County. Four runner-ups will receive: Eaarth by Bill McKibben, The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars by Michael Mann, or a DVD of Chasing Ice or Before the Flood.
