Rockland Police Department Welcomes New Officer Jacob Labo

According to Rockland Police Department posting on their Facebook Wednesday, December 14th, 2016, 'The Rockland Police Department is proud to announce the hiring of our newest patrol officer; Officer Jacob Labo joined the Department last month.

Jake comes from a military family; he was born in Bath, Maine, while his father was stationed at Naval Air Station Brunswick. Growing up at different military bases around the country, Jake graduated high school in Massachusetts, and enlisted in the National Guard. During his time in the National Guard, Jake was deployed to the southwest United States / Mexico border, assisting Border Patrol, and in combat operations in Afghanistan. Jacob was awarded the Army Good Conduct medal and Combat Infantry Badge.

Following his honorable discharge after 8 years in the National Guard, Jake completed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy law enforcement pre-service training, and was employed as a summer reserve officer with the York, Maine Police Department.

In his off time, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and their daughter, working on cars and camping. Please join us in welcoming Jake and his family to Rockland!'
